Multi-Facility Course

Tuesday Treks (Ages 3 – 5 & Adult) $80

This 6 week adventure will tour 6 different City of Edmonton facilities!

Week 1:  Art Extravaganza

Explore the wonderful world of Art! Discover a variety of artist’s materials and techniques and we’ll make a playful puppet to take home. Just bring your imagination and an old paint shirt.

Location: City Arts Centre, 10943 – 84 avenue


Week 2: Zoo Adventures

Explore the Zoo to meet seals, red pandas, monkeys and more. We’ll see and meet a wide variety of animals up close and personal.

Location: Valley Zoo, 133rd Street and Buena Vista Road


Week 3: Fortsters

Discover the life of the fur traders. Cook bannock over a fire, do some beading, and play traditional native games.

Location: Fort Edmonton Park, corner of Whitemud Freeway and Fox Drive


Week 4: Forest Friends

Venture into the forest at the Nature Centre to find out who is still around for the winter. Meet a garter snake and salamander, taste honey from a hive and make a craft from natural materials.

Location: John Janzen Nature Centre, adjacent to Fort Edmonton Park


Week 5: Pioneer Fun

Find out what life was like for the pioneers. Bake cookies, do some sewing and wash clothes. Try out some old-fashioned toys, and play parlour games.

Location: John Walter Museum, Walterdale & Queen Elizabeth roads, north side of Kinsmen Sports Centre parking lot.


Week 6: Plant Pals

Discover the humid tropics, dry desert, and cool temperate forests. We’ll find out where some of the foods we eat come from and we’ll plant our own seedlings to take home.

Location: Muttart Conservatory, 9626 96A Street
