Fort Edmonton Management Company
Fort Edmonton Park is operated by the Fort Edmonton Management Company on behalf of the City of Edmonton, which owns the buildings, artifacts and land associated with the attraction. The Fort Edmonton Foundation fundraises to support the Park’s capital development.

Douglas O. Goss, Q.C., Board Chair
Doug Goss serves as Counsel to the law firm of Bryan & Company LLP in Edmonton, and is a Director and/or Officer of numerous private and public corporations in Canada. Doug obtained his B.Comm. (Finance) from the University of Alberta, followed by his LLB. He serves as a Director of the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club, is the Chairman of the Board of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, and is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Doug is a member of the Board of Management of the Alberta Economic Development Authority, and serves as the Chair of the Alberta Economic Development Authority Business Competitiveness & Diversification Committee.
Jane Batty
Jane Batty has represented Ward 4 in Edmonton since her election to City Council in 2001. She is a member of the Edmonton Space and Science Foundation, the University of Alberta - City Region Studies Centre Advisory Board and is the Past President of the Edmonton Glenora Rotary Club. These diverse experiences are further augmented by her involvement on committees such as the River Valley Alliance, Police Commission, IAAF 2005 World Half Marathon Championships, the World Cup Triathlon, NAIT Centre for Culinary Arts Campaign Cabinet, Edmonton Northlands, Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation and in her work with Council.
Bruce Bentley
Bruce Bentley is president and chief executive officer of Maclab Enterprises, an Edmonton-based privately held real estate development firm with operations in Alberta, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories, and the United States. Bruce is a graduate of the University of Alberta School of Business, a past president of the University of Alberta Alumni Association and a former member of the senate of the University of Alberta. He is currently a director of the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club, a member of the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute - Edmonton Strategy Council, Member of the Board of Governors of the Banff Centre since 2003, serving as Vice Chair since 2006, and a member of the Leadership Committee of the Edmonton Committee to End Homelessness.
Lewis Cardinal
Lewis Cardinal is the owner of Cardinal Strategic Communications, an Edmonton-based consulting firm and is a PhD candidate in education at the University of Alberta. Lewis is Chair of the Global Indigenous Dialogue, an international gathering of Indigenous peoples, Chair of Aboriginal Voices Radio (AVR) Canada’s first and only national Aboriginal radio network, Founder and President of the Indigenous Media Institute of Canada, and Co-chair of the Aboriginal Commission on Human Rights and Justice.
Don Cummings
Don Cummings is a Director in the Management Consulting Business Unit with Sierra Systems, a Canadian based professional service firm. He specializes in providing clients with strategic management and organizational transformation services. Don holds a BA in political science and an MBA from the University of Alberta. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants and pursued further learning from Stanford University where he completed an executive course in Strategic Uses of Information Technology. He also completed the Strategic Systems Dynamics program of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Business. Don is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and numerous community-based organizations including the Support Network, the Volunteer Centre of Edmonton and the Old Strathcona Foundation.
Laird Kulak
Laird Kulak is the Managing Partner of Orion Plastics Ltd, an Edmonton-based company. He has a degree in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia, and is a graduate of the Sloan Fellows Program - Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As part of his community involvement he has been a Fort Edmonton Foundation Board member since 2000 and Board Chair from 2005 to 2008, and served on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement Northern Alberta.
Dave Loken
David Loken is employed with the Coalition of Edmonton Civic Unions where he acts as a liaison between the civic unions he represents, City administration and City Council. David studied political science at the University of Alberta, and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Conflict Analysis and Management through Royal Roads University. He is a member on the Donate-a-Ride committee.
Scott Matheson
Scott Matheson is the Director of Business Development – Alberta for PCL Construction Management Inc. He is an honours graduate of NAIT’s Building Construction and Engineering Technology program and is a PCL Leadership graduate, As part of his community involvement, he worked with EPCOR to construct the new 2008 Christmas tree base donated to the City and is on the Board of Directors for Crime Stoppers, Capital Care Foundation and President of the Brentwood College School Alumni Association.
Jeff Polovick
Jeff Polovick owns Driving Force, an Edmonton based company. Jeff is a Director with Economic Development Edmonton, and with the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club. He is past Chair of Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta and N.W.T, Member Relations Chair of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and Past President of the Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Club.
Lee Smith
Lee Smith is a retired health professional with extensive experience in management. She is the Chair of the Edmonton Historical Board, President of St. David’s Welsh Society of Edmonton, and a member of the Historical Society of Alberta and the Edmonton and District Historical Society. Lee is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Masters in Health Services Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Michael Webb
Michael Webb is President of MacLachlan & Mitchell Homes, a third-generation Edmonton family business. As part of his community involvement he has served as the Venue Operation Chairperson of the 2001 World Championships in Athletics, a Director with Edmonton Northlands and Edmonton Home Builders, Chairperson for the International Home Builders Council and President and Director of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization. He has also supported the community as a Director of Kids with Cancer, as Chairperson of the Kids with Cancer Relay Committee, and as Chairperson of the Liver League Foundation
